PokerStars.com Goes On the Road

PokerStars.com has announced that it is sending players to two distinct spots on two different continents this week for live tournaments that bear the leading online poker site’s name.

The Isle Of Man-licensed site is the main sponsor behind both the European Poker Tour (EPT) and the Asia Pacific Poker Tour (APPT), both of which have an event starting this week. The �5,400 EPT London is to take place at the Grosvenor Victoria Casino from tomorrow until Saturday while the APPT event is to take place at the Sheraton Walkerhill in South Korea from Friday to Sunday.

PokerStars.com said that it has heavily promoted these events both online and regionally by encouraging its users to qualify and members of its Team PokerStars will be travelling to both Korea and the UK to represent the company. Australian Joe Hachem, champion of the 2005 World Series of Poker (WSOP) has already been confirmed for APPT Korea with several other yet-to-be-announced players in attendance.

Poker Stars sent team members Daniel Negreanu and Vanessa Rousso alongside others to the first APPT event in Manila in August and local newspapers in Seoul have already begun to run articles on Hachem.

The Seoul event is the second of three APPT events that are taking place this season with the championship event being held in Sydney, Australia, from December 13 to 16.
