Asia Pacific Poker Tour moves south to Seoul

Asia Pacific's inaugural poker tournament, the Asia Pacific Poker Tour (APPT), is continuing its course around the continent as this sees poker fans competing in Seoul in South Korea.

After kicking off in Manila last month, the poker tour will now move to the Paradise Walker Hill Casino in Seoul, with games taking place between September 26th and 30th.

Over 200 international poker players will compete in the tournament for a share of the $500,000 prize pool and the chance to be named Korea's first ever APPT Seoul champion.

Among the contenders will be Joe Hachem, 2005's World Poker Champion, Tuan Lam, the Vietnamese player who narrowly missed out on being crowned this year's World Series of Poker (WSOP) champion and Isabelle Mercier, a top ten rated female poker pro.

Some of the native Asian players will include Ron Kluber, who finished 29th at the WSOP this year and Daniel Schreiber, a student from Seoul who won Event 31 at the Las Vegas tournament.

After more events are played out, the Grand Final of the APPT will be take place at Sydney's Star City Casino in mid-December.
