Not Giving Up The Day Job

British gaming giant Ladbrokes has announced that a father of three from England has qualified for the second year in a row for its Poker Million VI poker tournament.

Ian ‘The Razor’ Frazer lost out to eventual winner Raj Modha at last year’s event and said that he learned how to play by taking part in Texas Hold’em games online.

Despite having earned more than one million dollars in the last three years playing poker and becoming a contender for the big time, Frazer said that he has no intention of quitting his day job as a Project Manager for Croydon-based building contractors Vidette Ltd, a job he has held for 15 years.

Frazer has also qualified three times for a seat in the World Series Of Poker (WSOP) and said that he is not intimidated by playing against the cream of the crop in poker.

“Going head-to-head with the world’s premiere poker elite will be a test in itself, let alone playing under the pressure of studio lights and cameras,” said Frazer. “I got beaten heads-up last year in the first televised heat by the eventual winner, Raj Modha, so this year I’m looking for some revenge.”

Poker Million VI is set to take place in December with the final televised live on Sky Sports on December 21. Ladbrokes said that all 72 seats for the event have now been sold, reserved for sponsored players who want to buy-in or won by players who have qualified online.
