What’s that on the Horizon? It’s the California Poker Players Conference!

In just a few weeks from now the First Annual California Poker Players Conference is being held in Inglewood, California. The state is one of the major poker cities in the US outside of Vegas, and actually has more poker tables than any other spot in America. The event will offer a chance for players to listen to some of the best minds in the game, as well as put the various lessons they offer into practice.

The conference is being held at the Hollywood Park Casino, and is run to coincide with Hollywood Park’s National Championships of Poker which run from October 17th to 28th. As well as the conference and tournament, there will be plenty of poker companies there advertising their sites and products.

The keynote speaker of the event will be Mike Caro, “The Mad Genius of Poker” and the renowned author of ‘Caro’s Book of Tells’. Mike has always been a charismatic character, and his thoughts on the game should make for a great viewing. He will be joined by Commissioner of the WSOP Jeffrey Pollack, who will be there to tell people what can be expected at the 2008 Series.
