Yukon Aids Arthritis

Canadian poker professional Brad ‘Yukon’ Booth has announced that he is lending his name to a charity poker tournament in the western province of Alberta this week.

The Brad Booth All-In For Arthritis Charity Classic is a fundraiser for a condition that afflicts millions worldwide and is being sponsored by The Arthritis Society along with the British Columbia Gaming Commission. Law mandates that the Classic’s maximum revenue is only $2,500 with an even split of the prize money between The Arthritis Society and the winners.

'I'm really excited about being part of this event,' said Booth. 'This is now the second year that I have done the All-In For Arthritis Tournament and it's looking like, with every year that goes by, we are gaining more and more support for this great charity event. I'd like to thank The Arthritis Society for inviting me back to host the event this year and also our host casino, The River Cree Resort And Casino in Edmonton.'

The tournament will see four competitions with a $1,600 main event to conclude the action on Sunday with proceeds helping The Arthritis Society in British Columbia and Alberta.

'It is like being invited to a golf game with Mike Weir and Tiger Woods,' said Pamela Gore, Director of External Relations for The Arthritis Society British Columbia And Yukon Division.

'While support for arthritis is important, this event is even more special because it is bringing awareness to and funds to youth arthritis,' said Booth.
