Betfair Announce Betting Market for the GUKPT Grand Final

Next Thursday sees the final of the Grosvenor UK Poker Tour, and Betfair, in association with The Hendon Mob, has announced it has opened a market on the overall winner.

Currently leading the market are Ram Vaswami, Praz Bansi, Roland De Wolfe and Dave Colclough, all marked up at 69/1. Also amongst those fancied for the event are Julian Thew at 84/1, Barney Boatman at 99/1, and Andy Black at 109/1. All three players have had success in No Limit Hold’em tournaments in recent years, with Thew being on a particularly hot streak.

The GUKPT Grand Final is the �3,000 finale of a 12-month season which has held ten events all around the country. The success of the tour is testament to the strength of poker in the UK at the moment, which has also seen successful years for the GBPT and APAT. Capacity at the event is 400 and sponsors Blue Square are confident of more than �1 million in the prize pool. The event will be filmed for broadcast on Channel 4 in the UK and Ireland.
