Bart Simpson hosts another poker night

Nancy Cartwright, the voice of Bart Simpson, has announced that she will use her own home to host the second charity poker tournament in three months.

Poker fans will be invited to her southern Californian house to play poker for families charity, Happy House, of which Ms Cartwright is co-founder, on December 15th.

Taking place between 3pm and 8pm, poker fans will be treated to a special barbeque in order to warm them up for the game.

The voice actress says the poker event will be family-friendly, with poker players' tickets at $75, spectators paying $25, and children requiring a $5 donation from their parents.

Happy House was founded by Ms Cartwright and Rose Goss, a writer and award-winning documentary producer, and the charity's mission is to "bring about a safer community by building better families".

The poker tournament will benefit a project being undertaken by Happy House as well as paying for one million 21-chapter booklets, which promote a common sense guide to happy living.
