GearPoker.com Revved Up and Ready to Go

GearPoker.com is a new online poker site, officially launched on 6th December 2007, which comes with a twist. As well as the usual offerings - Texas Hold'em, Omaha, Omaha Hi/Lo, 7 Card Stud and 7 Card Stud Hi/Lo - a few other additions not commonly found in online poker rooms have been featured. Guts Poker and Survivor Guts Poker, Chinese Poker, Big 2 Poker and Pan (short for Panguingue), complete the line up of games spread on the site.

Guts Poker in particular is an up and coming game. Players ante, then receive 3 cards. Each player decides whether to stay in the pot or fold. The highest 3-card hand wins, and those who folded must ante the amount of the last pot to play in the next hand. In the 'Survivor' version of Guts Poker, only the lowest losing hand must patch the pot to ante.

Chinese Poker is also a game garnering a lot more attention, and is increasingly popular with the likes of Phil Ivey, Barry Greenstein and Phil Hellmuth. So if you’re looking for some slightly different poker action this Christmas, GearPoker might just be the place for you.
