‘Emira B’ from Dewsbury in West Yorkshire won the jackpot over the weekend and will take home approximately $1.93 million, almost three times more than the games’ previous payout record.

'I'm in shock,” said the lucky player.

“It's unbelievable. I've just told my family. They sort of believe me. They didn't even know that I played. I told them to look and that I'd won the jackpot. It's not sunk in yet.

'I haven't any idea what I'll spend the money on yet but me and my family will be sorted. I've got to go to work tomorrow but I don't know if I'll go. I work as a beauty therapist in a salon. Hopefully I'll get my own now. I can't believe it.'

’Emira B’ wasn’t the only Brit celebrating this week as a 55-year-old electrician from Oxfordshire took home $2.19 million after hitting the jackpot on the Millionaires Club progressive slot at WilliamHillCasino.com.

The winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, staked only six dollars and follows in the footsteps of David Redshaw from Slough who scooped $199,753 at WilliamHillBingo.com.

'It certainly is the season to be jolly for our 'Mr X', winning such a life-changing amount just before Christmas,” said Jennie Prest, Spokeswoman for William Hill.

“It's our second huge payout in the space of two weeks and ‘Mr X’ goes down in history as being our first millionaire from the online casino.'
