Grosvenor unveils 2008 poker schedule

Grosvenor UK Poker Tour (GUKPT) has announced the schedule for its 2008 season, following a successful 2007.

GUKPT, in conjunction with its sponsor, Blue Square Poker, has announced ten tournaments spread across the year, with a £1,000 buy-in for all, with the exception of the Grand Final.

To take part in that prestigious event, there will be a £3,000 buy-in.

The GUKPT is one of the most respected poker events in the UK and has seen a variety of illustrious players taking part in the past, with former winners coming from the poker world and the world of television.

Last year's winners included Michael Greco, the former Eastenders star, as well as European Poker Tour champion Julian Thew and Praz Bansi, who is a World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelet winner.

The first of this season's events will be held in Brighton from January 14th to 20th, while the Grand Final will be hosted in London from November 24th to 30th.
