Nuts Launches Online

A new online gambling site has been launched for the UK’s The Nuts Poker League (TNPL) on the iPoker Network through the Playtech platform.

The new site, TheNutsPokerLeague.com, follows a deal negotiated late last year for Inside Gaming to launch and manage an online gambling site for the land-based TNPL. The site joins the world’s largest online poker network, which offers more than $15 million in guaranteed prizes every month and attracts 75,000 unique players from around the world daily.

TheNutsPokerLeague.com offers players the opportunity to take part through a variety of special tournaments hosted by the iPoker Network. In addition, members will also be invited to play in nightly ‘lock in’ tournaments specially created to capture the community feel generated through its land-based events in pubs across the UK.

On any night, over 600 poker players can be found competing in one of the pubs that have signed up to TNPL throughout the UK. TNPL’s Managing Director, Steve Bellis, stated that taking the enterprise online enables the League to attract other players to the nightly tournaments.

'We have been looking to combine the pub poker league with an online offering for a while but it was important that we took our time to find the right partner,” said Bellis.

“Inside Gaming has grasped a true understanding of our business and has the flexibility to create bespoke tournaments to suit our players and allow us to continue creating the community environment that we've worked hard to establish.'
