Thursday 10th January 2008 Anderson Goes Down-Under with Salomon
In what appears to be a relationship with more variance than a drunken game of Omaha, Pamela Anderson and husband Rick Salomon have announced they will head to Melbourne for the Aussie Millions. The announcement comes after poker pro Salomon requested a seat at the event. An appearance fee for Anderson is currently being negotiated with organisers.
The main event of the series starts on Monday, and there’s already a plethora of famous faces involved: actress and World Series of Poker bracelet winner Jennifer Tilly, American pie star Shannon Elizabeth, cricket legend Shane Warne and tennis star Mark Philippoussis have stumped up $10,000 (AUS) to try and get a piece of the $10 million prize pool.
The couple got together in the first place after Anderson had to repay Salomon a debt of $280,000 after a poker game in Las Vegas.
“Rick, being the gentleman, said he would wipe my debt if I gave him a kiss, so I have to thank Vegas for our relationship switching gears,” Anderson said, obviously showing her comfort in using poker lingo.
Salomon is still looking for his first major success on the table, although he’s done ok on the bed in recent years having been one half of the infamous sex-tape ‘One Night in Paris’, co-produced with Paris Hilton. Anderson and Salomon married in October, but the relationship has been wobbling a little of late, with Anderson filing for divorce but seemingly changing her mind.
