Prop Bet Madness for Jay Kwik

You get these poker players, some of the greatest and most talented in the world. For hours, they take our money by being skilled, more finessed and just damn good at the game. What do they go and do with our hard lost money? Prop bet it away. The recent one from Jay Kwik might go down as one of the funniest on record though.

In what began as a conversation between Kwik and two friends at a Kanye West concert on New Year’s Eve, he has agreed to spend 30 days living in his bathroom. Granted, he lives in the Bellagio anyway, so it’s a very nice bathroom, but for the 2-1 odds the two friends have offered, Kwik is having to undertake some very tough rules:

1. The bet will start on Jan. 12 and end Feb. 12 at 4:00 a.m. Pacific time.

2. He is not allowed to have any access to a computer.

3. He is allowed only 400 total minutes of cell-phone usage for the duration of the bet. This is being enforced by a prepaid phone specifically purchased by one of his friends.

4. He is allowed the use of a small portable DVD player.

5. His meals will be delivered either by room service or one of his friends; however, he is only allowed a maximum of four deliveries per day and is not permitted to speak to anyone under normal circumstances.

6. He is not permitted be under the influence in any way that would allow time to appear to move faster.

7. He is permitted to open the front door for any guests or hotel employees that come his way but must do so without leaving the bathroom.

The amount being gambled has not been disclosed but is rumoured to be in six-figures. The losing side of the bet will also have to pick up the tab for expenses, which won’t be cheap at the Bellagio.They’re taking it so seriously that the two friends have installed a webcam outside the bathroom door, offering $500 to anyone who seeks Jay breaking out from his toilet-come-new home for a month.

Will it all go down the pan for Kwik, or will he be flush with money after living in the Bellagio bathroom for a month? Expect more puns in the next month as we follow his progress.
