Green Joker Poker Sponsors Leading Irish Pro

Online poker room Green Joker Poker have announced the addition of popular Irish poker pro Rob Taylor to the Green Joker Poker team. Rob, who finished second in the Irish Rankings in 2007, will play all the Grosvenor UK Poker Tour events under a sponsorship deal with the company.

Spokesman for the company, Mike Lacey, said of the deal, “Rob has always shown a great commitment to GJP. He is always wearing his GJP hoodie at events whether qualified on our site or not and spreading the word about our events. This combined with his excellent tournament record adds up to a great proposition for both Rob and GJP and allows us reciprocate his loyalty.”

Rob, who is currently in Brighton for the first leg of the GUKPT, said, “Thanks to Mike and Brian and everyone connected with GJP for this opportunity. Hopefully, with 10 legs to concentrate on, I can get at least one major result and I’m really looking forward to the first leg in Brighton.”

The company has been busy of late, organising the European Deep Stack Poker Championship taking place in the Drogheda Poker Club, Drogheda, Ireland from Feb. 2-10, 2008.
