PKR Hosts GUKPT London Qualifiers

PKR have opened up a competition to send it’s best players to Grosvenor UK Poker Tour main event when it hits London this March.

Based on their performance in Sit & Go’s and Multi-table Tournaments (MTTs) at least six players will receive a $3000 package including the buy-in and spending money. The Grosvenor UK Poker Tour runs from Thursday, March 6th until Sunday, March 9th at the Grosvenor Victoria Casino.

PKR’s Grosvenor UK Poker Tour London Stage One Sit & Go’s run 24/7. Stage One MTTs are held daily at 19.45 GMT (except Mondays), the weekly Stage Two is every Monday at 21:15 GMT and the Grand Final will be held on Monday, February 25th.

Stage one buy-ins start for as little as $5.40. In a unique move PKR is offering players the opportunity to use their PKR Points to buy in to any stage of the qualifying rounds. Players can even buy-in directly into the GUKPT London main event itself.

Poker room Manager Neil Wright said, “The GUKPT is the UK’s first major professional tour and PKR is proud to be able to offer so many players the opportunity to experience it themselves. That’s why we have low buy-ins and are giving players many ways to enter.”

Launched just last year, the Grosvenor UK Poker Tour – a series of �1,000 No Limit Texas Hold’em tournaments - has attracted a host of famous poker faces such as actor Michael Greco and European poker legends Dave Colclough and Julian Thew, all hoping to claim a share of the estimated $6.9million in prize money.
