Online Provider Signs Marathon Deal

Online software provider Cake Gaming NV has announced that bookmaker MarathonBet.com has become the latest partner to join its roster, which already includes SportsBook.com, PlayersOnly.com and BetUs.com.

Cake, which is licensed and regulated in Curacao, launched its first network site, CakePoker.com, in 2006 while MarathonBet.com is one of the largest sports betting operations in Eastern Europe and Russia. The partnership is to see the launch of an online poker room as part of a strategy to offer new services to users with support and security initially being provided by RedStarPoker.com.

Cake said that MarathonBet.com has joined a winning network as it enjoyed exceptional growth in 2007 with the average monthly rake going up by more than 15 percent every month.

Peak concurrent player growth was more than 370 percent year-over-year, the company stated, with this trend likely to continue throughout 2008.

With its success, the firm said that it can afford to be selective in the companies its partners with as its focus is quality over quantity. It takes great care over who gets involved and feels that the health of the whole network is a key factor behind its members being successful.

Cake also stated that another sportsbook partnership agreement would soon be announced.
