Minieri Wins Yet Again on PokerStars

He ended 2007 on a high note, winning three tournaments in one day. It seems like Dario still has that winning feeling though as 2008 gets warmed up. A win this weekend for $100.000 followed on from a five-figure win the week before, and Minieri is fast staking claim to being the hottest player on PokerStars right now.

This week, Dario Minieri won the PokerStars $5,200 Freezeout on Sunday, besting 19 other players to take home $100,000. This event is a regular on the calendar and part of the PokerStars Sunday line-up of big buy-in tournaments. The event has a maximum of twenty runners, and it’s a winner takes all, which evidently suits Dario’s hyper-aggressive style.

The win follows on from a $20,000 cash in the High-Stakes Showdown on January 20th.
