Friday 21st December 2007 Parent company of UK newcomer MyLotto24 generates €15m jackpot winner
London, December 2007 – Tipp24 AG one of Europe’s biggest online lottery businesses and parent company of the UK’s www.mylotto24.co.uk, sold one of three winning tickets to the biggest ever €45 Million jackpot on the German lottery.
The long-standing customer of www.tipp24.de, which allows punters to play a wide range of state-owned lottery products online, beat millions of people to the mega jackpot by playing a combination ticket. His chosen numbers 9, 10, 24, 28, 39, 42 were complemented by the correct super number 3.
Shortly after the numbers were drawn, the Tipp24 winner received notifications via text message and e-mail.
MyLotto24 (owned by Tipp24 AG) launched www.mylotto24.co.uk, which offers bets on the outcome of European lotteries, on 13th November. The service provides punters with significantly better odds than currently available from other UK betting operators. The jackpots regularly reach levels in excess of €50 million per draw, and occasionally more than €150 million, both dwarfing the average UK national lottery jackpot of approximately £3.5 million. As a result, it expects to produce the UK’s biggest ever jackpot winner, surpassing the £35.4 EuroMillions jackpot won by a British woman earlier this year.
