WSOP in date swap

Although poker fans will have the times and dates of the forthcoming World Series Of Poker (WSOP) firmly etched into their minds, they will have to reorganise their diaries as the organisers have changed the schedule.

Harrah's Entertainment has swapped two dates around in order to make the most of filming for the TV and to ensure that the HORSE event, which is becoming increasingly popular, can be properly showcased.

Players wanting to enter the special $50,000 buy-in World Championship HORSE event will have three more days to sharpen their skills.

Originally scheduled to start at noon on Sunday June 22nd, players will have to wait until 17:00 on Wednesday June 25th for the event to start.

This means that the $2,500 buy-in 2-7 Triple Draw Lowball competition will move from its slot at 17:00 June 25th and will now begin at noon on June 22nd replacing the HORSE event.

It's all in the name of TV viewers being able to see more extensive coverage of the HORSE World Championship on US channel ESPN, which is expected to be broadcast in July.
