63 National Heads-Up Poker Championship Names Announced

The fourth NCB National Heads-Up Poker Championships is now almost finalised. With 63 players confirmed for the competition, only one more slot remains unfilled. The competition, which has a $20,000 buy in and a $500,000 first place prize, begins on 29th February.

The 64 players will battle it out in a series of heads-up matches to find out who is the best one-on-one poker player in the world. The format is single elimination, with brackets – much like a tennis tournament. All three previous champions (Paul Wasicka, Ted Forrest and Chris ‘Jesus’ Ferguson) are participating, as will WSOP winner Jerry Yang.
