Poker Player Loses $600,000

According to prominent message board TwoPlusTwo.com, unknown online player ‘Seda1’ lost $600,000 last week during a six-hour session of $500/$1000 blind No-Limit Hold‘em to professional Phil Ivey.

In a multi-hour rematch the next day at Ivey's own heads-up Deathmatch table at FullTiltPoker.com, the anonymous high roller did a little better, taking a $195,000 pot by miraculously hitting a set on the turn despite getting all-in behind on the flop. However, although totals for the second session have yet to be determined, it appears that the professional player took the lion's share of the biggest pots including the biggest for $251,935.

The unconfirmed consensus on TwoPlusTwo.com appears to be that ‘Seda1’ is a wealthy amateur poker player from Beverly Hills, California, named Shawn Sedaghat about whom very little is known.
