Tuesday 4th March 2008 Bodog Poker Open Underway
The next week will see online poker players will be competing for some serious cash prizes and bragging rights in the inaugural Bodog Poker Open, the biggest and most ambitious poker tournament in Bodog history.
The action on the virtual felt in the six-event series started last night with a $270 buy-in No Limit Holdem tournament. To spice things up a little, Bodog added $10,000 to the tournament's prize pool and will add a total of $75,000 in additional money to the BPO's prize pools this week. Added value for online poker tournaments? Just what we like!
The BPO comes to its finale on Sunday, March 9, at 4 p.m. EST, with the $500 buy-in Bodog Poker Open Main Event. The winner of that one will walk away the Bodog Poker Champion, seriously rich, and the owner of an engraved Omega Speedmaster Pro watch worth $4,400.
'This is the biggest poker tournament in Bodog history, and we're letting our players know this by adding big money to the BPO's prize pools and by giving our first ever Bodog Poker Champion something special to remember his or her win by,' said Alwyn Morris. 'We expect a great turnout in all of the BPO events as players compete for the cash and the glory.'

No Limit Hold’em $250 + 20 -- Added $10k
Tuesday, 4th March - Event No. 2
No Limit Hold’em 6-Handed $300 + 25-- Added $10k
Wednesday, 5th March - Event No. 3
No Limit Hold’em w/ Rebuys $100 + 10-- Added $10k
Thursday, 6th March - Event No. 4
Pot Limit Hold’em $200 + 15-- Added $10k
Friday, 7th March - Event No. 5
Limit Hold’em $150 + 10-- Added $10k
Sunday, 9th March - Event No. 6
Main Event (No Limit Hold’em) $470 + 30-- Added $25k
