Wednesday 5th March 2008 Online Casino Has License Terminated
Isle of Man-based turnkey provider Microgaming has announced that it has terminated its gambling software license with Australia-based Tusk Investment Corporation Ltd, the owner of a number of online casino and poker rooms.
Microgaming stated that the termination followed Tusk’s announcement that it was planning to go into liquidation after the suspension of its Safe and Fair accreditation by private player protection and standards body eCOGRA.
'Microgaming has terminated its software license with Tusk Investment Corporation with immediate effect after having received Tusk's notification of its plans to put the company into liquidation,” read a statement from Microgaming.
'Microgaming is presently gathering all facts related to this matter and will provide further announcements as and when information becomes available.'
Tusk operates a number of casino sites including CasinoAction.com, ChallengeCasino.com, GoldenReefCasino.com, MusicHallCasino.com, NostalgiaCasino.com, UKCasinoClub.com and BigCasino.com. It’s poker rooms include Battlefield Poker, Royal Card Club, Red Nines, Arctic Poker, Raw Poker, Poker.ie, Daily Poker, Flush Draw Poker, Will Bet Poker, Bet Road Poker, Grand Central Poker, Off The Rail Poker, Privy Poker, Berserk Poker, Atomik Poker, Dave's Poker Room, Hetman Poker, Hot Pepper Poker, Poker Seas, TilttAA Poker, Loose Games Poker, CPT Gaming Poker, Ice Bear Poker, GoHard Poker, Caya Poker, Mr Urban Poker, Poker Sweden and Euro Poker Dream.
Microgaming declined to comment further but emphasised that further statements would be made when information can be made available.
