NetPlay TV Purchases Bingos.com

London-listed interactive gaming company NetPlay TV has announced the purchase of Majorca-based online bingo

operator Bingos.com for a reported $12.4 million.

The company behind the interactive BigBoxBingo television programme, NetPlay TV said Bingos.com is an established pan-European brand operating in the UK, Poland, Italy and Spain with over one million registered players.

”The acquisition of the Bingos.com business considerably strengthens our position in the bingo market both in the UK and across Europe,” said Martin Higginson, Chairman and Chief Executive of NetPlay TV.

“Adding over one million bingo players to our customer base is a major leap forward. We will now be able to drive these players to our television bingo show as well as offer them tickets in our $20 million weekly SuperDraw. The potential synergies are huge.”

NetPlay stated that Bingos.com won the Best Online Bingo Operator of the Year award in 2006 and the Best Bingo Affiliate Programme gong a year later with its players spending over $20 million a month.

In addition to the bingo games, Bingos.com features a suite of 47 online casino-style games including slots, table poker, keno and blackjack that NetPlay will now be able to offer.

”Dominic Mansour and his team have done a fantastic job in building one of the biggest online bingo businesses in Europe,” said Higginson.

“Dominic will now be able to offer a 'live' television bingo experience, a weekly $20 million SuperDraw and mobile products that we believe take the business to the next level allowing us to offer a truly converged bingo gaming solution.

“With this landmark acquisition, NetPlay is now starting to become a major player in the interactive gaming market. Furthermore, our roulette business continues to grow and will soon become part of our SuperCasino.com brand as we add more games to our offering.”
