Scott Clements Wins Bellagio Prelim Event



Scott Clement and Ted Lawson managed to take the first two places in Saturday’s $5,000 No Limit Hold’em event at the Bellagio. The World Poker Tour Five-Star World Poker Classic is in town, and the $206,000 win in the preliminary event brought Clement’s lifetime earnings to over $3,000,000.

Clements defeated WSOP bracelet winner Ted Lawson heads-up, leaving Lawson walking away from the Bellagio $122,150 richer for his second-place finish. His tournament cashes are now approaching the $2,000,000 mark.

The event saw 106 players enter the one day event, with the top nine making the payouts. It was the fourth in a series of a events which prelude the $25,000 buy-in World Poker Tour Championship event on 19th – 26th April.
