Antonius has close to $4m on the line

Finnish poker player Patrik Antonius has almost $4 million staked on a number of side bets, it has been revealed.

The high stakes star has a $100,000 golf and tennis wager with Brandon Adams, two $200,000 tennis bets with Gus Hansen and two professional players and a $500,000 gamble that he can beat Daniel Negreanu at golf and heads-up stud 8, PokerStrategy.com reports.

This is on top of the $1 million poker match and $100,000 per hole golf contest with Doyle Brunson.

It is possible Antonius has bitten off more than he can chew against ex-junior tennis champion Hansen and the two pros, although he does have a tennis background himself.

He played at a very competitive level in his youth and used to coach the game before taking up poker.

The Black Lotus also has a seven-year age advantage over Hansen, who is the current chip leader at the World Poker Tour Championship even in Las Vegas.
