Friday 25th April 2008 WPT Championship final table tonight
The season six World Poker Tour (WPT) Championship will be decided tonight at the Bellagio casino resort in Las Vegas.
Gus Hansen, arguably the most successful WPT player ever, has a comfortable lead over the rest of the final table on 8,570,000 chips.
He is followed by Cory Caroll (6,670,000), David Chiu (6,050,000), John Roveto (2,720,000), Tommy Le (1,950,000) and Jeff King (1,305,000).
Hansen, Caroll and Chiu have dominated the tournament between them since day two, consistently appearing around the top five places at the end of every session, along with Tom Dwan, who narrowly missed out on a final table place.
The Great Dane is the favourite of the three, however, due to his incredible record at the WPT, having won three of his previous six final tables.
None of the remaining six contestants have a say in the WPT player of the year competition, which was decided earlier in the week when Danny Wong's elimination ensured victory for Jonathan Little.
