Poker keeps Lycos 50 place

Poker has maintained its run inside the Lycos 50 for another week.

The card game has now spent 21 days on the list of most commonly typed internet search terms after a brief period outside.

It remains in 40th position for a second week, continuing to hold Eva Longoria at bay in 41st.

American Idol, which was 49th last week, has risen above it to 39th.

Due to there not being much poker news at the moment, poker cannot seem to compete with the likes of Katie Holmes, who is the new number one.

Rumours that the Dawson's Creek star is to make her stage debut are behind her rise up the table, while Harry Potter actress Emma Watson moved to second on the back of her 18th birthday.

The return of the World Poker Tour next week and the World Series of Poker a week later could possibly lift poker back to the heights it reached last year, where it was a regular in the top ten.
