Is Poker Becoming The New Social Network Of The Internet?

As more and more people choose to pit their wits against each other on the internet it seems that online Poker is fast becoming the new Social Network success of the internet. While it will never compete with the likes of MySpace and BEBO, there is a growing worldwide population who are in regular touch via chat rooms and forums. So how does it work?

It seems that more and more people are willing to share their tricks and tips for online Poker with many others who are just starting out in the game. The creation of this online community has assisted in the increased take up of the sport with more and more people being introduced each day. It can often be frightening for a first time player to play online, what is the etiquette, how long should you take or even the basic controls. By taking away much of the stigma attached to these actions it has given many the confidence to move online.

Due in the main to the growth of the internet, Poker has become on of the most popular sports on the planet and with more and more people joining each day there seems to be a lot more growth to come.
