The Dames and The Great Dane to Clash

He might just be one of the most famous exports from Denmark since Carlsberg. Gus Hansen has set the poker world alight after he burst onto the scene after dominating Season 1 of the World Poker Tour. Now he’s got another lucky break, playing in a six-handed $20,000 buy in Sit and Go with five of the best looking women on the circuit. Not that we’re jealous.

The biggest obstacle for ‘The Great Dane’ will surely be concentration. With $120,000 on the line, he’s going to have to ignore the feminine charms of J.J. Liu, Erica Schoenberg, Vanessa Rousso, Beth Shak, and Clonie Gowen.

The “Gus and the Ladies” Poker After Dark week begins tomorrow night in the US, where it is broadcast on NBC. The show has been one of the most popular additions to the poker television listings, renowned for giving every hand of the tournament and adding context to the play from the lowest blind levels right up to the final hand. If you’ve never caught an episode of the show, this would be a great opportunity.
