Even though some in the industry may not believe the figures, it has been confirmed that Ladbrokes Poker was the number one poker operation in the UK for the week ending 14th June. The figures, which were compiled by award wining internet statistics firm Hitwise, show that the new look Ladbrokes Poker site recorded the most visits for the week in question.<br />

While it has to be said that figures for one week do not make a real difference in the long term overall picture, the signs have been there that Ladbrokes Poker has been making inroads into the UK market for some time. Initially a little slower than many of their competitors to enter the market, Ladbrokes has more than made up for lost time over the last year.<br />

The relationship between the betting industry and poker players is there for all to see and Ladbrokes Poker is a prime example of how each area can feed the other. It has to be said that Ladbrokes has invested a lot of time and money into the operation, increasing jackpots and the number of games available. But for many players it seems as though the new look site has tipped the balance.
