Tuesday 9th September 2008 Celebrity poker hits Minnesota
The 10th Annual Trent Tucker Celebrity Poker Tournament will be held at the Running Aces Harness Park, Columbus, Minnesota on the 11th September with a whole host of celebrities getting together for this non-profitable organisation. The charitable organisation is involved in an array of youth projects bringing poker and the young of the US together for mutual benefit. So who will be there this year?

The list of celebs reads like a who’s who of the celebrity poker world with Michael Jordan, Patrick Ewing, Scottie Pippen, Charles Oakley, Darren Sharper (of the Minnesota Vikings) and Jimmy Jam together with pro poker players Johnny Chan, Marcel Luske and Michelle Lau.

The charity gig is a $1,250 buy in event which is sure to prove popular with $12,500 to the winner and an array of other prizes available. The event will also take in a number of VIP tournaments, a reception and a massive party towards the close of the event. This is a tournament which has raised over $1 million in the past few years and continues to bring poker and charity together.
Interestingly there has been a major increase in the number of charity poker events as the profile of the poker industry has increased, much to the delight of many charitable organisations.
