Mac Software For PokerStars.com

Following a successful beta test, Isle of Man-licensed online casino PokerStars.com has announced the launch of its downloadable Mac poker software just in time for the seventh edition of its World Championship of Online Poker. Macintosh has been improving as a gaming platform since 2005 and PokerStars.com has worked for the past year to deliver a downloadable version of its software compatible with both Mac OS 0.4.10 and later versions. 'This is a great addition for both PokerStars.com and the poker playing audience,” said Australian Joe Hachem, 2005 World Series of Poker champion and a member of Team PokerStars. “This will allow Mac users to experience the world's largest online poker site without third-party applications. I know a lot of the actors and musicians I coach via PokerStars.com will appreciate its release as the creative community use Macs before any other computer.' Rather than forcing a PC application onto a Mac, PokerStars.com built bespoke poker software for the new operating system and it is now available in more than 15 languages with additional support services being added every day. 'The launch of PokerStars.com for Mac surpasses other web-based and outdated online poker Mac applications and secures PokerStars.com’s commitment to enhancing the experience for all players,' said the site in a press release. PokerStars.com is the latest site to become Mac-friendly following Ongame-powered PokerRoom.com while PartyGaming.com is currently running a beta test. In addition, ParadisePoker.com, AbsolutePoker.com and SunPoker.com offer Mac-compatible web-based versions of their software.
