Monday 22nd September 2008 WSOPE first event drawing to a close
What a time to bring the WSOPE to town, just prior to the start of the main event WSOP2008, and build up the tension and excitement of the whole poker community. Today saw us move a step closer to the end of event 1, the £1,500 No Limit Hold’em game which started last Friday with a player list which included 410 names. Now we are down to the final 9 with the winner set to take away an impressive £144,218 in prize money. So who made it through to the final table?

Despite the likes of Phil Ivey, Chris ‘Jesus’ Ferguson, Phil Hellmuth and Daniel Negreanu taking the plunge and flying over for the event , none of them have made it though to the final stages – well not for event 1 anyhow.

The line up for the final table is dominated by Adam Junglen who is miles ahead in the chip stack count with 795,000 against 511,000 for the second placed player and just 61,000 for the lowest player at the table. However, don’t mock those who have even made it to the table as it is not easy and takes skill just to hold your nerve.
