Monday 22nd September 2008 PurePlay Boss To Speak At EiG
The head of American play-for-free poker site PurePlay.com will discuss the legislative landscape for online gaming in the United States this week at Barcelona’s European i-Gaming Congress and Expo (EiG).
Jason Kellerman, Chief Executive Officer for PurePlay.com, will host the special USA Update one-hour spotlight session at the seventh annual event alongside other panellists. Topics will include developments on the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act (UIGEA), possibilities that one or more states could legalise online gaming alongside proposals for a network of intrastate regulated Internet gambling.
'PurePlay.com caters to the millions of people who enjoy online gaming but don't want to risk losing their own money,' said Kellerman.
'Even before the passage of the UIGEA, we recognised the demand for this type of playing experience in the online gaming market and developed our patented business model that delivers the exciting game play and cash prizes, which appeal to those customers.'
Three legal experts in US domestic and international law will join Kellerman on Wednesday at ten o’clock in the morning in Room 116 of Barcelona's International Convention Centre.
'We're delighted to have Jason speaking on the USA Update panel,” said Mark Walker, Conference Manager for Clarion Gaming, organisers of EiG.
“PurePlay.com's unique business model and ability to offer online poker to millions of Americans will be of huge interest to our delegates. We always enjoy having these success stories at EiG.'
