Wednesday 24th September 2008 WSOP Europe 'to grow'
With the World Series of Poker (WSOP) approaching the half-way stage, Casino Review Magazine deputy editor Hugh Sorrill has claimed that the competition has the potential to grow in the future.
London's Victoria Casino is hosting the event until it finishes on October 2nd, and the industry expert thinks that the format of the series will develop over the years.
"It's a business like any other and they will expand the competition to meet whatever demand there is," Mr Sorrill explained. "There continues to be strong demand for this kind of event."
This comes after the 2008 version of the tournament added events that were not seen at last year's WSOP Europe.
Earlier this year, the original WSOP ran in the US. Reports from organisers indicated that the series dished out more money than ever and also had more contestants than before.
The main event final table is scheduled to take place in Las Vegas in November.
