Thursday 26th February 2009 CryptoLogic Continues Reorganisation
Leading online gaming software supplier CryptoLogic Limited announced last week the departure of its Chief Technology Officer, Michael Starzynski, as it continues a reorganisation of its business in order to return to profitability.
CryptoLogic stated that it is focusing on earning revenues from its Internet casino and branded gaming businesses while also reducing annual operating costs by $13 million.
As part of its plan, the Dublin-based firm is eliminating costs associated with operating a stand-alone poker network in addition to reducing its servers by 75 percent. As a result, the role filled by Starzynski will not be replaced directly and CryptoLogic stated that it would divide operations and development functions between other managers.
'All members of the CryptoLogic team join me in thanking Mike for his service over the last five years and wishing him well as he embarks on new challenges,' said Brian Hadfield, President and Chief Executive Officer for CryptoLogic.
