Online poker players could win a seat worth $12,000 to the main event of next summer’s 2010 World Series Of Poker (WSOP) for as little as Eleven dollars courtesy of Bodog and its Mini Poker Series.
The leading online poker site revealed that its Mini Poker Series will begin next Friday and consist of 13 different low buy-in events running on consecutive days until July 15 followed by semi-final and final events to determine the eventual winner.
The top 30 percent of finishers in each of the 13 events, which start at 8:35 in the evening New York time, will earn tournament series leaderboard points to rank players for the semi-final on July 21. The semi-final is also open to players who have participated in at least seven of the preliminary events or who have finished in spots eleven to 50 in series leaderboard points.
The top ten players from the prelimminary events will receive automatic entry to the final event on July 23 alongside the best 18 compeitors from the semi-final.
The eventual top prize is one of the first seats available anywhere in the world for the 2010 WSOP main event alongside a Team Bodog membership. The runner-up and third placed finisher will receive a Bodog Poker Open IV prize package that will give them freee entry to every event to be hosted this autumn. The fourth and fifth placed competitors will win a seat to any Bodog Flight Club Semi-Final valued at $270 while those placing sixth through ninth will get free entry to a $100,000 Guaranteed Tournament, which are held each Sunday evening.
