Virgin Is Going It Alone

Online gaming provider Virgin Games has announced that it has centralised its offerings through a new in-house platform that will be managed centrally from its head office on the island of Guernsey. With this move, Virgin Games has become an operating company in its own right utilising gaming licenses held in Alderney and Malta. Virgin Games’ casino service was previously outsourced to WagerWorks while Boss Media handled its poker operation with St Minver responsible for bingo. However, after 18 months of development, Virgin Games revealed that it is now able to offer a more streamlined customer experience with players given the opportunity to participate across multiple gaming products using a central sign-on solution and a single wallet. Players now only need to register once in order to take part and browse seamlessly through Virgin’s poker, bingo and casino offerings. In addition, customers will be able to compete for bonus promotions and loyalty points across all of Virgin’s games. The firm has also launched an in-house customer service call centre and will also be responsible for co-ordinating its own player databases and payment processing systems. Virgin revealed that its around-the-clock ‘customer experience solution’ would bring ‘all consumer touch points’ together in-house including telephone, e-mail and web-chat for greater control, improved efficiency and an ‘all around excellent customer experience’. 'In developing and taking ownership of the new customer experience programme, we have focused on creating the best possible value and service for our customers,” said Simon Burridge, Chief Executive Officer for Virgin Games. “Here at Virgin Games, we live and breathe the Virgin brand values and feel taking the customer service department in-house and integrating all three gaming services allows us to continue to deliver the unique Virgin experience that our customers have come to expect. 'Our players have told us that they would like to see a wider range of games at Virgin Games and we intend to give them exactly what they are looking for. There have been some very exciting new games brought into the market recently and we look forward to introducing them into the Virgin Games product offering.”
