Wednesday 18th January 2006 World Poker Tour Game Slated for PSP Release
2K Sports in partnership with Take-Two Interactive Software Inc has announced the upcoming launch of a World Poker Tour (WPT) game for Playstation Portable (PSP) this Spring.
WPT allows players to battle it out at some of the world’s most prestigious poker tables along with the ability to go head-to-head against live players by utilising the PSP’s wireless online connectivity.
Currently available for Playstation 2, Xbox, and Nintendo Gameboy Advance, WPT features real life professional poker stars, venues featured in the popular World Poker Tour television series and enhanced Artificial Intelligence players.
“With the growing popularity of televised poker shows such as World Poker Tour, poker has become a mainstream sport” said President of Visual Concepts, Greg Thomas. “By partnering with the trusted World Poker Tour brand, we are bringing both gamers and poker fans alike the most realistic poker experience available. And now that World Poker Tour will be available on the PSP, gamers can enjoy the game wherever they go,” he added.
