Wednesday 12th April 2006 Nth American Poker Tour Announces Top Pros for Debut Tourney
Having been building up to the launch of their inaugural season for what now seems like an eternity, the International Poker Association Tour, formerly known as the North American Poker Tour, has moved onto the next stage of its hyping up process, announcing the players who’ll be taking part at the Hollywood Park Open.
The tour’s debut tournament is due to take place in May and organisers have not disappointed in assembling a fine line up. Those scheduled to turn up for the $10,000 No Limit game include 2004 Player of the Year Daniel Negreanu, 2005 World Series Tournament of Champions winner Mike 'The Mouth' Matusow, and WPT champions Antonio 'The Magician' Esfandiari, Michael Gracz and Gavin Smith. They will be joined by leading blackjack player “Hollywood” Dave Stann who has apparently been in practice to see if he can match it with the best the poker world has to offer.
