Tuesday 6th February 2007 Loose Cannon Fires Off Welcome Shots
One of London’s newest poker clubs, the Loose Cannon Sports Bar & VC Players’ Lounge is set to celebrate its launch tonight with a $10,000 free-to-enter tournament for its members. A host of celebrities and well-known poker faces are expected to attend.
200 players will battle it out for the $3,000 1st prize and a shot at a free seat in the VC Poker Cup 2007.
The tournament will play host to no fewer than ten bounty players including football legend Teddy Sheringham, Alex Best and snooker ace Matthew Stevens. 4 lucky players, dubbed the ‘VC Poker Dogs’ will also have bounties on their heads, and will have the dubious honour of playing the tournament in fancy dress.
The Loose Cannon Club was co-founded by poker veteran and one-time manager of the Gutshot Poker Club Roy Houghton and self-styled ‘poker agent’ Catman.
