Tuesday 9th January 2007 Great British Poker Tour to Go Live
Details of the new Great British Poker Tour (GBPT) have been announced.
Run in association with Gala Casinos, the GBT will reportedly feature five televised poker festivals across the UK and a £2,500 buy-in Grand Final. As well as large cash prizes, Main Event winners will also be rewarded with a VIP seat at the GBPT Grand Final.
The winner of the GBPT Grand Final will receive an all-expenses-paid trip to the Bellagio Five Diamond World Poker Classic in Las Vegas in December 2007.
Runners-up don’t go away empty handed either – they get trips and buy-ins to the Aussie Millions in Melbourne and various European Poker Tour events.
'We are very excited to be staging the Great British Poker Tour,” said Nick Potter, MD of Gala Casinos. “This is a fantastic opportunity for poker players of all levels to show the world how seriously we take our poker here in Great Britain, with the quality of player talent we have. We hope to see some thrilling clashes all the way up to the final.”
