Thursday 29th November 2007 First poker club opens in UK
The UK's first legal poker club opens its doors in Nottingham this week and has seen initial events sold out.
Dusk Till Dawn was granted a casino licence in September and poker fans have been scrambling to become members.
December 1st will see the opening weekend's Main Event and many famous poker faces will be in attendance.
"I never had any doubts that we would sell all our seats for the opening weekend. We can't rest on our laurels now though as the real challenge is to make Dusk Till Dawn the best club in Europe and keep players coming through our door over the years to follow," Simon Trumper, Live Poker director told the Nottingham Evening Post.
Rob Young, managing director of the poker club added: "It's been a long struggle but it's been worth it. The club is looking great and I know the poker community are going to love it."
Over 400 poker players can be seated in the 15,000 square-foot poker room, which is leased from Showcase Cinema and situated on the Lenton Lane Industrial Estate.
