Friday 30th November 2007 GPSTS continues inter-school programme
The latest round of the Global Poker Strategic Thinking Society (GPSTS) inter-school poker match is due to take place this weekend. The team poker competition continues as University of Southern California (USC) takes on the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) in the latest round of the matches. GPSTS executive director and third year Harvard Law School student Andrew Woods said: "There's tremendous enthusiasm on campus for GPSTS and for poker matches. We hope to capture the same spirit of the March Madness basketball tournament when we hold our national competition in the spring." GPSTS believes that the poker tournaments can help students develop not only their poker skills but also their mental agility and sharpness. The organisation is dedicated to forming groups of players at colleges across the US and bringing them together in such tournaments.
