Well January is now firmly in the books for the year, with it proving to be an exceptionally busy month with regards to poker tournaments. We had the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure, the Euro Finals Of Poker, the Borgata Winter Poker Open, UKIPT Edinburgh, NBC Heads-Up Championship and of course the Aussie Millions which has just finished up.
It will be a tough act for February to follow, an act that in fact February has no chance of matching. However, there are still a few events this month to keep us occupied. We are going to take you through all of them.
WPT Lucky Hearts Poker Open
The next stop on the World Poker Tour after the Borgata Winter Poker Open is the WPT Lucky Hearts Poker Open. This tournament has actually already been going on for a couple of weeks; however the events being completed were just small side events and satellites for the bigger events which will be kicking off on the 8th of February.
The Main Event will be starting on the 8th and will play until the 12th, with it being a $3,200 buy-in.
GSOP Live Vienna
A smaller event for those of you that have smaller bankrolls, this tournaments Main Event will be a €1000+100 buy-in and will start on the 13th of February and finish on the 16th. There will also be three separate side events as well.
PokerStars UKIPT Cork
For those of you that are looking for an event that is closer to home, there will be the next stop on the UK & Ireland Poker Tour. This one will be in Cork on the 14th of February with the Main Event lasting until the 18th. The buy-in is a reasonable £700 + 70, whilst PokerStars will be running satellites for anybody looking to get a seat for a smaller outlay.
The second World Poker Tour event of the month will be the WPT Vienna, with the popular event running from the 19th of February and finishing on the 24th. The Main Event will require a €3,200 + 300 buy-in.
WPT LA Poker Classic
On a busy schedule in February for the World Poker Tour, their third and final event will be the WPT LA Poker Classic. The Main Event will consist of a large $9,600 + 300 buy-in and run between the dates of the 23rd and 28th of February.
The popular Grosvenor UK Poker Tour kicks off its first event of the year with London being the location. The reasonable £1,000 + 70 buy-in will appeal to many, so if you are in the area, you should certainly check it out. It will run from the 28th of February and end on the 3rd of March.
