PokerStars 7 Beta Is Finally Here

Beta Version

The waiting is now over, as after many years of there being talk that there is to be a new PokerStars client, it has finally arrived.

Yesterday, PokerStars released the beta version of PokerStars 7 which is now available to be downloaded by the public that use either the .com, .eu or .es sites. It has been released as a beta version only so far, just so that any bugs or glitches can be ironed out as well as giving players the chance to try it out.

Lee Jones of PokerStars said in a statement:

“Over the last few years, we have invested countless hours to research, design and develop this new iteration of our flagship software. We believe this release is friendlier for new players and more intuitive and powerful for our veterans. So now we’re inviting our players to test the beta version of the software and help us ensure that it meets the high standards that everyone expects of PokerStars.”

Trying it out could not be easier either as all you have to do is go to the menu bar at the top of your lobby and select ‘Try PokerStars 7’. Until you do get around to trying it out however, take a look at just some of the new features that have been implemented.

New Features

  • Quickseat–This highly useful feature allows players to get right to the action at their preferred variation and format with just one simple click of a button. This makes it ideal for those that do not want to worry about finding tables and just want to get straight into some action.
  • Favourites–This feature has also been designed to save the time of players. It allows you to save particular tournaments, sit’n’go’s, and cash tables so that there is no need to try and navigate through the lobby.
  • Apps–This replaces the menus for options and requests and is basically a bar that is sat to one side of the lobby. It allows players easier access to the non-playing functions on the site.
  • Chip Graph–This great new feature is excellent for those that love to play tournaments. It helps players to see how they are progressing with information such as the average and biggest chip count currently in the event.

Those are just a small selection of the new features that have been implemented into PokerStars 7 but you can check out all of the rest by heading to the official page at PokerStars.
