PokerStars APPT Seoul Day 1b – Kim Leads Overall

shutterstock_103537337The second and final opening day flight at the PokerStars Asia Pacific Poker Tour Seoul has come to an end with Day 1b attracting another 100 players to bring the total entries to 222 for this event. Out of the 100 that started the day only 34 of them will be progressing into Day 2 with the other 50 players that made it through from Day 1a.

With the total figure now reached it was soon revealed that the total prize pool for the event will be around $534,810 once converted from the South Korean Won. It was also revealed that just 24 of the players will be being paid in the event, with the top prize being $147,141.

It was Mike Kim that made sure he was in pole position to take home that money, with us pretty glad he did, simply because we do not want to type the name of the player in second more than once in this report. Kim finished with 179,300 chips whilst the player who is hot on his heels is Chane Kampanatsanyakakorn with 133,000.

Those two have pulled out a nice little gap from the rest, with the field a further 65k back. In fact the two of them have also secured more chips than the players from Day 1 too, which puts them as the overall leaders in this event.

There is also 2011 Macau Poker Cup winner Raiden Kan in the mix, with him looking to secure yet another title in Asia.
