Big Names That Fell!
Amongst the droves of players that were eliminated yesterday were quite a few of the bigger names on the poker scene, with Luke Schwartz, Dominik Nitsche, Vicky Coren, Pierre Neuville, Alex Kravchenko, Liv Boeree and one of the form players of the moment Davidi Kitai being sent home early.
With regards to PokerStars Team Pro Liv Boeree, she did well to even take part after being hit with food poisoning the night before. She made a brave effort and almost made it into Day 2 before running her Ad-Kh into the pocket kings of Jean Pierre Petroli and unfortunately coming out second best.
Notables Still In The Event!
We need not worry however as there are still plenty of big names running in this event, with PokerStars Team Pros Jake Cody, Ana Marquez, Jose Barbero, Julien Brecard, Lex Veldhius, Bertrand Grospellier doing enough and more to see them through. They were also joined by the likes of Sandra Naujoks, Steve O’Dwyer, Freddy Deeb, Lucille Cailly, Jason Koon and Britain’s Roberto Romanello in Day 2.
