PokerStars Sunday Events Roundup

US Dollars

It was another busy weekend over at PokerStars with the usual schedule complimented by a host of Word Championship of Online Poker Challenge Series events. The biggest of those are summarised below with the Special WCOOP Challenge Series editions of the Sunday Warm-Up and Sunday Million along with the WCOOP Challenge Series Main Event proving to be extremely successful.

PokerStars Sunday Warm-Up Special Edition

The first of the big events to be played out on Sunday was the Sunday Warm-Up WCOOP Challenge Series special edition. It brought in 5,117 players and had a prize pool of $1,023,400. PokerStars Sunday Million Special Edition

The Special Edition of the Sunday Million attracted a staggering 10,16 entrants which led to a prize pool of $2,032,800. That amount shattered the $1.5 million guarantee on the event and it was shared among the best 1,350 players.

The field was so large in fact that it required two days for the event to be completed. It was a seven way chop of the prize pool on the final table that sped up this finish on Day 2 and it was “mor255” that eventually took the title and a payout of $139,148.81. That was only the third largest payout however as both “cid5” and “Cobra15979” received larger slices of the chop due to bigger chip counts at the time.
